Seth Binsted grew up in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, studied philosophy at Stony Brook University in New York, and now lives in New York City. He has taught philosophy and aesthetics at James Madison University and The New School, and continues occasionally to lecture in aesthetics. First and foremost a photojournalist, his work currently explores ways of understanding the relationship between light and emotion within the built environment. He now works as a freelance photographer and is available for both editorial and commercial projects worldwide.
